The user journey within AR Joyful Beach is meticulously crafted to maximize engagement and learning from start to finish.
The experience begins the moment a player approaches the sandbox, as the projections instantly react to their presence with ambient effects like schools of fish scattering. The Initiation Phase involves selecting a theme via a simple touchscreen interface. Once inside a world, the Exploration Phase commences: children can touch wall projections to trigger detailed animal facts and audio narrations, or use physical nets and shovels in the sand to catch holographic creatures and dig for hidden objects.
The Collaboration Phase is where the magic truly happens, as players must work together on timed objectives—for example, in the Ocean World, they might need to collaboratively relocate a certain number of endangered species to a protected sanctuary before a virtual oil spill spreads. The Magic Moment is often initiated by the joystick, introducing unpredictable elements like a sudden storm or the appearance of a rare creature, testing the team's adaptability. The experience culminates in a Climax and Recap Phase, where a scoring screen celebrates their achievements.
